Eric Walter Promoted to President of Greenberg Gibbons – Brian Gibbons to Continue Chairman & CEO Role

Owings Mills, Md. (July 13, 2021)Brian Gibbons, Chairman & CEO of Greenberg Gibbons, a premier investor, developer and manager of retail, mixed-use and flex properties, announced that Eric Walter has been promoted to President. He will lead day-to-day operations of the rapidly growing firm, which has a $1.5 billion portfolio of properties and recently created a $100 million private equity fund to make strategic shopping center acquisitions.

“As we implement our strategic plan to double the size of our portfolio and continue expanding into new asset classes and geographic regions, Eric’s leadership abilities are vital to help scale the company,” said Brian Gibbons. “He and I will work closely to execute on our vision, put systems in place to support our growth, and continue to attract world-class talent to the Greenberg Gibbons team.”

Walter joined Greenberg Gibbons in 2012 and has served as the Executive Vice President & Chief Investment Officer, overseeing new developments, acquisitions, and joint ventures, as well as all project financing and the company’s accounting functions. Prior to joining Greenberg Gibbons, he worked for CBRE’s National Retail Investment Group, leading due diligence and underwriting. He holds a degree in Finance and International Business and a Master’s in Real Estate from the University of Maryland.
